Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of tirekick (the “Service”), the MCP server directory and validator at tirekick.dev, operated by the team behind Clamp Analytics (“we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

What tirekick is

tirekick connects to public Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, reads the tool list they advertise, checks each tool's schema against the checks described in what tirekick checks, and publishes an automated A–F grade. You can also paste a server URL into the checker to run the same report on demand, submit a server to the directory, and—if you can prove you own a listing—manage how it appears.

A grade is an automated, point-in-time summary of a handful of technical checks. It is not a security audit, a penetration test, a functionality guarantee, or an endorsement. A high grade does not mean a server is safe, trustworthy, or fit for your purpose, and a low grade does not mean it is malicious. Decide what to install using your own judgment.

Acceptable use

When you use the Service, you agree not to:

• Use it to attack, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to any listed server or to tirekick itself.
• Scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the directory in a way that degrades the Service for others, or that circumvents rate limits.
• Submit servers you have no right to submit, or claim ownership of a listing you don't control.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the rights to.
• Interfere with the Service's operation or misrepresent your identity.

We may remove listings, suspend accounts, or refuse service at our discretion, particularly in response to abuse or legal requirements.

Accounts

Some features require an account, which you can create with an email address or by signing in with GitHub. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information. How we handle the data tied to your account is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Listings, submissions, and ownership

tirekick indexes public MCP servers, including those in the official MCP registry, and may test, list, and grade any publicly reachable server without prior arrangement. If you submit a server, you confirm you have the right to do so. If you claim a listing, you must verify ownership through the methods we provide (a GitHub identity or a DNS / well-known proof), and you may then edit its presentation and re-run its grade. We may correct, re-grade, or remove any listing, and being listed does not create any partnership between us.

You keep ownership of anything you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the directory.

Third-party servers

Listed MCP servers are operated by third parties, not by us. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, security, availability, or how they handle your data once you connect to them. Your use of any server is between you and its operator.

Open-source validator

The validator behind the grades is open source under the MIT license (tirekick-dev/tirekick, published as tirekick on npm) and is covered by its own license. These terms cover the hosted Service and directory, not your use of the open-source package. The tirekick name and brand are ours.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that grades are accurate or current, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that any listed server is safe to use.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the Service or of any server you found through it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and termination

We may change the Service or these terms. When we make material changes we'll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the Service means you accept the revised terms. You may stop using the Service at any time, and we may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
